DRC has designed a full-line of short reed goose calls for today’s hunters and competition callers. These short reed goose calls meet both on stage and field demands. Our calls produce high and low end sounds and everything in between.

Calling plays such a crucial role in any hunt, and that is why having the right call can make all the difference. We have developed three lines of short reed goose calls, three different calls for three different situations:

• Life Sentence – This is our original hunting call designed for midrange to big geese. This call is tailored for all levels of callers.
• Short Drop - The high-pitched tones of this call make it ideal for geese of any size, but are especially lethal on small geese.
• The Inmate - With maximum volume, speed and low end capabilities, competition callers everywhere should use caution when operating this deadly weapon.

Our line of short reed goose calls produces realistic, quality goose sounds. With the same desire that we have poured into the deep, goosey sound of our calls, we have created calls with a better fit, feel and look than any other calls on the market. We have considered the needs of today’s hunter and competition caller, and we have designed our calls to be the most productive, efficient and deadliest calls available.

Whether DRC faithful or experimenting with “inferior” brands, only the most elite callers have recognized the need for reproduction or “broken-in” guts for the goosiest of calls. I know what you’re thinking: “with all the repo guts available on the market today, why did we mold another pair?” We’re glad you asked.

Cory broke in the original tone-board with the specially designed DRC reed. The caller wastes no air because the gut/reed combination is a perfect match. This means many more notes in faster sequences (comp callers!). And because of the specially designed DRC reed, the grooves on the sides of the tone-board are narrower. This will allow the tip of the reed to go farther down into the tone channel, producing a longer “reed stroke” from top to bottom.

For you novices out there, the result is a deeper, raspier, goosier sound. The “lesser” repos on the market are all broken in with a wider reed. Because of the width, these types of reeds lose that goosey low end. Sure, you can capture those lows eventually, but who wants to practice when you could be stacking bands on your lanyard? The added volume and goose nasty sound is what makes these guts the deadliest available for competition. Let’s face it. If you want to be the best, you use the best.
